Creativity appoints Joshua Garrett as CEO

Creativity has announced the appointment of Joshua Garrett as its new chief executive officer. His appointment marks a significant milestone for Creativity and recognises his key role in the company’s success.

Since joining Creativity as a programmer in 2001, Joshua has held various key positions, including director of Production and vice president of Development. He has been instrumental in the development of thousands of toys and interactive products, collaborating with brands such as Hasbro, Mattel, Disney, Google, Amazon, Spin Master and dozens more.

Throughout his career, his focus has been on making the most magical and playful experiences possible using the technologies available for each product. He constantly refined production processes and introduced new capabilities, such as play design, app development, interactive voice technology, art and animatronic puppeteering.

His industry influence has been widely recognised; he has spoken at CES and Toy Fair and serves as an advisor to the Children’s Media Association. His long-standing leadership and creative vision culminated in his appointment as CEO, where he continues to drive the company’s mission of delivering imaginative, award-winning play experiences.

During his tenure, Creativity has contributed to products that received over 135 Toy of the Year (TOTY) nominations and over 40 TOTY awards, including five overall Toy of the Year wins, a testament to Creativity’s innovation and impact across iconic franchises such as Star Wars, Sesame Street and Furby.
